Terms of Use
Last Updated: April 29, 2025

Overview

Welcome to the website of Grounded Legal Practice, PLLC, a New York professional limited liability company (“Grounded Legal Practice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Terms of Use agreement (“Agreement”) is between Grounded Legal Practice and any user (“you” or “your”) of our website.

This Agreement explains how you can use our website and what you can expect from us. Specifically, it governs your access to, browsing of, visiting, and use, interaction, or attempted interaction with any part of our website, including its content and digital offerings (collectively, the “Site”). This does not govern the terms of any legal or consulting services, which are outlined in separate engagement agreements.

We provide legal services and leadership consulting (which is not legal advice). Just browsing our site, including, without limitation, www.groundedlegalpractice.com and any of its subdomains, redirects, or variations does not create an attorney-client relationship.

By using our Site, you acknowledge and confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms. If anything in this Agreement feels unclear, or raises questions, please pause use of our Site and reach out. You’ll find our contact information at the bottom of this page. We believe legal clarity should be accessible and we’ll do our best to respond promptly. If you don’t agree to this Agreement, you are not authorized to use this Site.

(Heads up: Some sections further down are in ALL CAPS. We’re not shouting; that’s just how legal documents highlight particularly important terms. We include them that way so you can feel fully informed when reviewing this Agreement.)

Updates to These Terms (If Things Change)

We reserve the right, with or without notice, to make changes to this Policy at our discretion, including to reflect updates in our practices, services, applicable laws, or regulatory requirements. The most current version, which supersedes all previous versions, will always be listed at the top of this page.

Your continued use of our Site after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about any changes.

Privacy and Related Policies

When you use our Site, you are also agreeing to any of our posted policies, guidelines, or rules applicable to the use of our Site and any services provided by our Site. This includes, but is not limited to, our Privacy Statement. All such policies, guidelines, and rules are hereby incorporated by reference into these Terms of Use, meaning they are all considered part of our Terms of Use and apply to your use or continued use of our Site.

Cookies and Tracking (Just a Heads-Up)

This Site may use cookies or similar technologies. Some may be essential for basic functionality, while others could be used for analytics, performance, or personalization. Where required by law, your consent may be needed before we use certain cookies. For more details, please see our Privacy Statement.

Attorney Advertising Notice

Some content on this Site may be considered attorney advertising under the laws or rules of professional conduct of certain jurisdictions, including New York. This website is intended for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee, warranty, or prediction of future results. Any reference to prior outcomes, case results, or successes is not intended to promise or imply a similar outcome in your matter. Every legal situation is unique and must be evaluated on its own facts and merits.

Disclaimers (Important Info About What We Offer, What We Don’t, and How We Work)

Leadership and Consulting Services

In addition to legal services, Grounded Legal Practice offers non-legal leadership development and consulting services. These services are educational in nature and are not intended to constitute legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship. Any leadership or strategy-related guidance whether provided on its own or alongside a legal services agreement is not a substitute for individualized legal counsel.

Jurisdictional Scope (Where We’re Allowed to Practice Law)

Grounded Legal Practice is a New York-based professional limited liability company. All legal services are provided by attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of New York. Nothing on this Site is intended as a solicitation to represent clients in jurisdictions where we are not authorized to practice.

Not Legal Advice / No Attorney-Client Relationship

Nothing on this Site constitutes legal advice. Information is provided for general educational purposes only and does not establish an attorney-client relationship between you and Grounded Legal Practice.

  • Plainly put: Reading this site or future content like blog posts, social media threads, or community discussions, downloading a free resource, or joining a workshop does not make us your lawyer. You’ll always know when we’ve officially started working together because we’ll both sign a written agreement saying so. Information is provided for general educational purposes only and does not establish an attorney-client relationship between you and Grounded Legal Practice. If you’re seeking legal guidance outside of our jurisdictional scope, we encourage you to speak with an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.

Please do not send confidential information through this Site. We only accept such materials after we’ve confirmed there are no conflicts and have formally agreed to represent you.

Blog Posts, Social Shares, and Author Opinions (Just So We’re Clear)

From time to time, we may publish blog posts or link to external content shared on platforms including, but not limited to, LinkedIn. These materials are for general informational purposes only, and do not constitute legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship.

Any opinions expressed in this content—whether by attorneys affiliated with Grounded Legal Practice or speaking in their individual capacity—are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of the firm. Unless otherwise noted, this content is owned by Grounded Legal Practice and may not be reused without express written permission.

If we host third-party content or allow user submissions in the future, we may implement a DMCA policy to address content management and takedowns.

Third-Party Content & Links (Links to Other Sites)

Links to third-party websites are offered as a courtesy. We sometimes share links to helpful tools or organizations we like. Just know that we don’t run those sites and can’t guarantee their accuracy, privacy, or security. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for content or policies found on external third-party sites. This Site’s Terms of Use or Privacy Statement may not apply to those other websites. They may have terms and policies different from ours so we recommend reviewing them before engaging.

Indemnification (If Things Go Wrong, Your Responsibility)

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Grounded Legal Practice and our partners, employees, and affiliates (“Indemnified Parties”), harmless from any liability, loss, claim and expense, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from your violation of this Agreement or use of our Site.

You will also indemnify and hold the Indemnified Parties harmless from and against any claims brought by third parties arising out of your use of any content or information or service accessed from or through this Site.
